Arsenal Women are in advanced discussions to sign Barcelona full-back Ona Batlle. The Spanish international's contract with Barcelona expires in June 2026, making her available on a free transfer this summer. Talks are reportedly advanced, with Arsenal hopeful of securing a pre-contract agreement.
Batlle, 26, previously played for Manchester United in the Women's Super League between 2020 and 2023, making 77 appearances. She returned to Barcelona in 2023, where she has since won Liga F and the Copa de la Reina twice each, alongside three Spanish Super Cups.
This season, Batlle has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona, who currently lead Liga F. A World Cup winner with Spain in 2023, where she has 49 caps, Batlle is a versatile defender capable of operating on both the right and left sides of defence. Her potential arrival would mark her second spell in the WSL.
