Turkish club Besiktas has triggered a mandatory purchase clause for striker Tammy Abraham from Roma, reportedly paying approximately £11.2m (€13m) for his services. Abraham spent the 2025-26 season on loan with Besiktas, scoring thirteen goals and providing three assists in twenty-six appearances.
The Istanbul-based club is now reportedly set to sell the England international to Premier League side Aston Villa. Aston Villa has reached a verbal agreement with Besiktas for a fee understood to be around £18m (€21m). This complex transaction also includes young defender Yasin Özcan moving from Aston Villa to Besiktas as part of the deal.
Abraham, twenty-eight, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Aston Villa, making the Birmingham club his preferred destination despite interest from other Premier League sides. He previously enjoyed a successful loan spell at Villa in the 2018-19 season, where he scored twenty-six goals.
