Celtic Chairman Urges Unity Amid Boycott

Interim chairman Brian Wilson has called for unity as some Celtic fans plan to boycott Saturday's Scottish Cup tie against Dundee.

Celtic interim chairman Brian Wilson has urged supporters to show "unity behind the team" ahead of Saturday's Scottish Cup fifth-round match against Dundee. This plea comes as the Celtic Fans Collective (CFC) announced plans for a boycott of the fixture at Celtic Park.

The CFC stated an "overwhelming majority" of fan groups voted for the boycott following a meeting on Wednesday. Reasons cited include frustration over the January transfer window, the continued ban of the Green Brigade, and restrictions on fan media.

The collective has called for the removal of chief executive Michael Nicholson, the reinstatement of the Green Brigade, and the lifting of fan media access restrictions. Wilson's offer to meet fan groups this week follows his earlier call for unity four weeks ago, which the CFC claims was ignored. The Scottish Cup tie against Dundee is scheduled for a 5:30 PM kick-off on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
