The draw for the UEFA Europa League knockout play-off round took place in Nyon on Friday, January 30th. Scottish side Celtic were drawn against German club Stuttgart. Meanwhile, Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest will travel to face Turkish giants Fenerbahçe.
The first legs of these two-legged ties are scheduled for Thursday, February 19th. The return legs will be played a week later, on Thursday, February 26th. Celtic will host Stuttgart in the first leg at Celtic Park, before travelling for the second leg. Nottingham Forest will play their first leg away in Istanbul, with the second leg at the City Ground.
Celtic finished 21st in the league phase, making them an unseeded team for the draw. Stuttgart secured an 11th-place finish. Nottingham Forest were seeded after finishing 13th in the league phase, while Fenerbahçe finished 19th.
