Cologne's Under-19 side attracted 50,000 spectators for their UEFA Youth League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

Cologne's Under-19 team established a new attendance record for a UEFA Youth League match. The club hosted Inter Milan Under-19s at the RheinEnergieSTADION on Wednesday, drawing a crowd of 50,000 supporters. This figure comfortably surpassed the previous record of 40,368, set by Inter against Trabzonspor in April 2025.

The round of 32 clash saw Inter Milan emerge victorious with a 3-1 scoreline. After a goalless first half, Inter took an early lead in the second period. Cologne's Fynn Schenten equalised ten minutes from time, but Inter secured their progression with two stoppage-time goals.

Despite the defeat, the large attendance highlighted significant local interest in youth football. The fans remained in the stadium to acknowledge the players' efforts following the record-breaking encounter.
