Dyche Faces Forest Pressure Despite January Award Nod

Football

Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche is under scrutiny despite a Premier League Manager of the Month nomination for January.

Sean Dyche received a Premier League Manager of the Month nomination for January 2026. During that month, Nottingham Forest secured two wins, one draw, and one loss from their four league matches. They defeated West Ham United and Brentford away, also earning a point against league leaders Arsenal at the City Ground.

Despite this positive January period, Forest currently sit seventeenth in the Premier League table with 26 points. A recent 3-1 defeat to Leeds United on February 6 ended a four-game unbeaten run, intensifying pressure on the manager. The club is just three points above the relegation zone.

Dyche, appointed in October, has dismissed speculation regarding his job security. He maintains regular contact with owner Evangelos Marinakis, stating that the owner understands the challenges involved. Forest will play Wolverhampton Wanderers next on February 11.
