Ex-Villa Striker Duran Joins Sixth Club Aged 22

Colombian forward Jhon Duran, aged 22, has completed a loan move to Zenit Saint Petersburg, marking his sixth professional club.

Jhon Duran has completed a loan move to Russian Premier League side Zenit Saint Petersburg. The 22-year-old Colombian striker joins from Saudi club Al-Nassr, where he remains under contract. His previous loan spell at Turkish club Fenerbahce was terminated to allow for this transfer.

Duran's professional career began at Envigado in Colombia, followed by a period with Chicago Fire in the USA. He then moved to Aston Villa in January 2023 for £18 million. After two years, he departed Villa Park for Al-Nassr in January 2025 in a £64 million deal. He was subsequently loaned to Fenerbahce in July 2025, where he scored five goals in 21 appearances. Zenit Saint Petersburg marks his sixth professional club, with reports suggesting a purchase option of around €35 million.
