Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of 22-year-old German left-back Luca Netz from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of defender Luca Netz from German club Borussia Monchengladbach. The 22-year-old left-back joins Forest on a four-and-a-half-year contract, according to reports.

Forest reportedly paid a fee of around £2 million for the Germany Under-21 international, with potential add-ons and a sell-on clause included in the deal. Netz's contract with Monchengladbach was due to expire in summer 2026, which allowed Forest to secure him for a reduced price. He originally joined Monchengladbach in August 2021 from Hertha Berlin.

The move provides Forest with a new option at left-back. The club recently saw Oleksandr Zinchenko's loan spell from Arsenal cut short, leading to his permanent move to Ajax. Netz made 15 Bundesliga appearances for Monchengladbach this season, contributing two assists.
