Thomas Frank has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after eight months in charge. The club announced the decision on Wednesday, February 11, following a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday evening. This loss extended Spurs' winless run in the Premier League to eight matches, with only two victories in their last 17 league games.
Frank, appointed in June 2025 to succeed Ange Postecoglou, leaves Tottenham in 16th place in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone. His tenure saw the team win seven of 26 Premier League games, drawing eight and losing 11. Supporters had expressed growing dissatisfaction, booing the team and chanting for the manager's removal during recent matches.
Despite positive form in the Champions League, where Spurs secured passage to the last 16, domestic performances were deemed insufficient by the board. The club stated that "results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary".
