Hibernian sold Scotland international Kieron Bowie to Serie A side Hellas Verona today for a club-record transfer fee.

Kieron Bowie, the 23-year-old Scotland striker, completed his move from Hibernian to Hellas Verona on Friday. The transfer secures a club-record fee for the Scottish Premiership side.

The deal is understood to be worth a guaranteed £6 million, potentially rising to £7 million with add-ons and a sell-on clause. This figure significantly surpasses Hibs' previous record of £4.4 million, received for Scott Brown in 2007.

Bowie signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the Italian Serie A club, running until mid-2030. He joined Hibernian from Fulham 18 months ago for £600,000, making a substantial profit for the Edinburgh club. During his time at Easter Road, Bowie scored 15 goals in 52 appearances across all competitions. He also earned his first senior Scotland caps in June 2025.
