League Two Fleetwood Town sack head coach Wild

Fleetwood Town have dismissed head coach Pete Wild and assistant Adam Temple following a poor run of results.

League Two club Fleetwood Town announced the departure of head coach Pete Wild on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Assistant head coach Adam Temple also left the Highbury Stadium club. The decision followed a challenging period for the Cod Army, who had suffered six defeats in their last seven matches. This poor run of form extended their winless streak to seven games across all competitions. The sacking occurred after Fleetwood's 2-1 loss to Colchester United on Saturday. At the time of Wild's departure, Fleetwood Town sat 15th in the League Two table. Wild had taken charge of Fleetwood in December 2024. A club statement indicated the change was made because "now is the right time to make a change to the first team management". The club also confirmed it would issue a further update on first team staff in due course.
