Liverpool have agreed a £60m deal with Rennes for French defender Jeremy Jacquet, who will join the club in summer 2026.

Liverpool have secured an agreement to sign Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet. The deal is reportedly worth £60m, with the player set to move to Anfield in June 2026. Personal terms have been agreed with the 20-year-old French defender, according to football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Jacquet, an France U21 international, currently plays for French Ligue 1 side Rennes, where he has been part of their professional set-up since September 2022. He is considered one of the most talented young centre-backs in Europe, known for his composure and athleticism.

The transfer is expected to bolster Liverpool's defensive options for the upcoming 2026/27 season. This move follows reports that the club has been in the market for defensive reinforcements. The agreement was finalised well in advance of the summer transfer window.
