Michael Carrick, Manchester United's interim head coach, has indicated his desire to remain at the club beyond his current contract.

Michael Carrick, appointed Manchester United's head coach until the end of the 2025/26 season, expressed his strong connection to the club. "I'm here, and I feel at home here," Carrick stated, adding that he wants the club to be successful beyond the current campaign. He took over in January following Ruben Amorim's departure, initially on a six-month deal.

The former United midfielder has enjoyed a successful start to his interim tenure, securing three consecutive wins. These victories came against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham, restoring hope at Old Trafford. Despite this positive run, Manchester United is conducting a thorough process to appoint a permanent manager for the next season. Carrick remains focused on improving the team and delivering strong performances for the remainder of the campaign, according to club statements. His contract is set to conclude in June 2026.
