Celtic captain Callum McGregor has dismissed recent reports linking him with a transfer to Saudi Arabia. The 32-year-old midfielder was rumoured to reunite with former manager Brendan Rodgers at Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah. McGregor, who has spent over 20 years at his boyhood club, firmly stated, "No, no, I'm here," when questioned about the speculation.

McGregor signed a new five-year contract in July 2023, committing him to Celtic until the summer of 2028. He has made over 550 appearances for the club since his 2014 debut, winning 24 major honours. The captain expressed increased determination to lead the club following a "difficult spell" this season, with Celtic currently third in the Scottish Premiership. He stressed his desire to fight and make the club successful again.
