Brighton midfielder James Milner is set to equal the Premier League's all-time appearance record this Sunday.

James Milner, 40, is on the brink of equalling Gareth Barry's Premier League appearance record of 653 matches. The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder currently has 652 appearances to his name. He is expected to reach this milestone if he features for Brighton on Sunday.

Milner made his Premier League debut for Leeds United on 10 November 2002, aged 16 years and 309 days, against West Ham United. He was the second-youngest player to appear in the league at that time. His professional career began with a reported wage of £70 a week.

His career has spanned 24 years, playing for six different Premier League clubs, including Leeds United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Liverpool, and currently Brighton & Hove Albion.
