Premier League launches new LGBTQ+ inclusion campaign

Football

The Premier League has introduced its 'Premier League with Pride' campaign, replacing the long-standing Rainbow Laces initiative.

The Premier League launched its new LGBTQ+ inclusion campaign, 'Premier League with Pride', in February 2026. This initiative replaces the league's previous partnership with Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign, which ran for over a decade. The new programme shifts away from mandatory individual player displays, such as rainbow armbands or laces. Captains will now wear the standard Premier League armband.

The 'Premier League with Pride' campaign will feature branding on LED boards, stadium screens, and ball plinths during dedicated match weeks. The campaign is scheduled to run across a double gameweek from February 6 to February 13, ensuring all clubs host a home fixture. The league is also partnering with Switchboard, the UK's national LGBTQ+ support line, to provide training for player care teams.
