Wales international winger Rabbi Matondo has completed a permanent transfer from Rangers to Norwegian side SK Brann.

Wales winger Rabbi Matondo has joined SK Brann from Rangers on a permanent deal, the Norwegian club confirmed today. The 25-year-old winger moves to the Eliteserien side after spending nearly four seasons at Ibrox. Matondo initially arrived in Glasgow from Schalke 04 in July 2022 and made more than 60 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club.

He scored eight goals during his tenure with Rangers, including a notable equaliser against Celtic in April 2024. The winger, who has 12 international caps for Wales, had a contract with the Glasgow club until the summer of 2026. However, he has now opted for a move to Norway to seek more regular first-team opportunities, according to Sky Sports.

SK Brann officials stated that the player has signed a long-term contract at the Brann Stadion. The transfer fee remains undisclosed by both parties. Matondo previously played for Manchester City's academy and Cercle Brugge, per reports from The Guardian. He is expected to join his new teammates in Bergen immediately.
