Al-Hilal have completed the signing of French forward Mohamed Kader Meite, while Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet is set for Liverpool.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal has completed the signing of 18-year-old French forward Mohamed Kader Meite from Rennes. The transfer fee is reported to be £25.9 million, with Meite agreeing a three-and-a-half-year contract. Al-Hilal officially confirmed the deal, securing a highly-rated young talent who had attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.

Meanwhile, Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet is set to join Liverpool after the clubs agreed a £60 million deal. The fee comprises an initial £55 million, plus £5 million in add-ons. The 20-year-old French international is undergoing a medical today, February 2, 2026, and will remain with Rennes until the end of the current Ligue 1 season before moving to Anfield in the summer. Liverpool reportedly beat competition from Chelsea and Bayern Munich for Jacquet's signature.
