England men's head coach Thomas Tuchel remains without a victory against top-ranked opposition following recent international fixtures.

England have failed to record a victory against any nation ranked inside the top 20 of the FIFA world rankings under the management of Thomas Tuchel. The national side concluded its final set of international fixtures before the upcoming World Cup without a win in three matches against high-ranking opponents, according to The Guardian. These results follow a period of transition since Tuchel took charge of the senior men's team in early 2025.

The squad drew two matches and lost one during the recent international break. Despite experimentation with the starting line-up and tactical formations, the team struggled to convert possession into goals against elite defensive units. Per Sky Sports, England have scored only two goals across these three fixtures. Tuchel remains focused on squad cohesion as the tournament approachs in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Football Association officials have not commented on the recent form. The head coach stated that the level of opposition provided a necessary test for his players before the World Cup begins in June, per The Athletic.
