US international Crystal Dunn, 33, has announced her retirement from professional football after a decorated career spanning over a decade.

US international Crystal Dunn, 33, announced her retirement from professional football on Thursday, 29 January 2026. The versatile player concluded a career spanning over a decade, which included significant success for both club and country.

Dunn earned 160 caps for the United States Women's National Team, scoring 25 goals. She was a key member of the squad that won the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup and secured a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her international honours also include the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Her club career featured spells with Washington Spirit, Chelsea, North Carolina Courage, Portland Thorns, Gotham FC, and Paris Saint-Germain. Dunn lifted three NWSL Championship trophies, winning with North Carolina Courage in 2018 and 2019, and with Portland Thorns in 2022. She was also named NWSL MVP and won the Golden Boot in 2015. Dunn stated she leaves the game with "a sense of peace and deep fulfilment".
