West Ham United Women confirmed the departure of English defender Anouk Denton to American side Bay FC on Tuesday. The National Women's Soccer League club paid a reported £200,000 for the 22-year-old, a fee which represents a club record sale for West Ham. Denton, who plays as a defender, joined the Hammers permanently in January 2023 after a previous loan spell from Arsenal in 2021. She also spent time playing US collegiate soccer with Louisville Cardinals. During her tenure, Denton made 67 appearances for West Ham in all competitions, scoring five goals. Denton stated she was excited to join an ambitious club with a clear vision, looking forward to challenging herself in the NWSL, which she considers the world's most competitive league. Her final appearance for West Ham came before the recent winter break.
