Wolverhampton Wanderers completed the permanent signing of Adam Armstrong from Southampton, with Angel Gomes expected to follow on loan.

Wolverhampton Wanderers completed the signing of striker Adam Armstrong from Southampton on deadline day. The 28-year-old joined on a permanent deal, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract at Molineux. The transfer fee is reportedly an initial £7 million, potentially rising to £9 million with add-ons. Armstrong, who scored eleven Championship goals for the Saints this season, returns to the Premier League with a strong goal-scoring record in the second tier. This marks manager Rob Edwards' first signing for the club.

Midfielder Angel Gomes is also expected to join Wolves on loan from Marseille. Reports indicate a €1 million loan fee, with a buy option of around €7 million. Gomes reportedly underwent a medical on Monday, with an official announcement anticipated. Wolves, currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, hope these additions will bolster their squad.
