Wrexham have completed the signing of defender Zak Vyner from fellow Championship club Bristol City on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Wrexham have signed defender Zak Vyner from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. The twenty-eight-year-old joins the Welsh club on a three-and-a-half-year deal, with an option for a further year, as confirmed on February 1, 2026. Sky Sports reported the transfer fee to be around £1.5 million.

Vyner, a product of the Bristol City academy, spent nearly two decades with the Robins, making over 250 appearances for the club since his professional debut in 2016. He became a regular for Bristol City from the 2020-21 season onwards. Both clubs currently compete in the EFL Championship.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson expressed delight at securing an experienced Championship player, stating he looked forward to working with him. Wrexham are currently sixth in the Championship table, aiming for promotion to the Premier League. Vyner's arrival strengthens their defence as they continue their push for a play-off spot.
